5days @ R1700 - R2000
3days @ R1125 - R1350

Insight or vipassana meditation is sometimes regarded as being rigorous and demanding, but it can also be undertaken with a lighter touch and with a more relaxed attitude. This silent retreat is for those who already have some experience with meditation and are able to sustain longer periods of meditation and who would like to learn how to do this in a more gentle and patient way, and to come to know the peaceful intimacy and immediacy of this form of meditation. Participants with pain, health and burnout problems are welcome. Meditation sittings will begin at 08h30 each morning and will end at 13h00. Sessions will be of approximately 45 minutes’ duration, with 10-minute breaks.
During the afternoons and evenings you are free to rest, meditate, read, do some light cleaning or gardening, go for walks, do some creative work of your choice, or do whatever you need to do to nurture yourself. A selection of recorded Dharma talks will be available for those who would like to listen to these in the evenings. The emphasis throughout will be on relaxation and rest, so please bring a comfortable folding chair with you if you would prefer to use that instead of a meditation cushion. If your schedule does not allow attendance for the full five days, please feel free to book for the first three days only.

He is a student of the non-dualistic traditions such as Zen, Taoism and Advaita Vedanta in which all activities are regarded as the appropriate expression of life, regardless of our concepts. He compiled and tested the recipes for the best-selling cookbook Quiet Food.
